McLEAN’S PICTURES.

“ALAN AND WIFE”—FRIDAY. Maurice Costello takes the leading role in “Alan and Wife” to he presented on Friday by Ale-Lean’s Pictures. “Alan and Wife”, a picture powerfully dramatic, which presents a tremendous problem tells the story of a surgeon who married two sisters! Believing one to be dead he married the other, unaware of their relationship. It" later developed that he had made n terrible mistake, llis lirst wife was alive, although slightly demented. IT©.knew that she would die unless an operation was performed aid he could perform that operation. Should he operate and ruin the new-found happiness of his present wife—she who was about to become a mother? Or should lie let this gjrl die, who everyone thought was dead? If lie did the former he would ruin three lives. If he did the latter he would he the same as a murderer. Don't fail fo see how this unusual problem is worked out in “Alan and A\ ife” which is one of the “picture sensations” of the season. Gladys Leslie, Robert Ellioit, Norma Shearer and Alauricc Costello arc the featured players. The supports include a comedy, gazette and the serial “Hurricane Hutch.” The full orchestra will supply a special musical programme.
