The report of the Board of Trade, as the result of an inquiry held under the Monopolies Act into the roofing tiles industry, has been tabled in the Assembly. The Board expressed the opinion that certain companies mentioned in the report did combine to monopolise the trade in roofing tiles and accessories, with intent lo control the supply or price, and that sm-h combination still existed. The Attorney-General. Mr Bavin, said the question whether any proceedings would he taken had been relrrreil lo the Crown Solicitor, lie did not think it desirable to say anything in the meantime.
