rntTBALIAN AND N.Z. CAM.* ASSOCIATION. CHAMPIONSHIP ENTRIES. WELLINGTON, Nov. 1. The X.Z. Lawn Tennis Association discussed a proposal to limit the entries for tin' championship singles to he . selected hy the management committee and for the remainder of the competitors to he placed in a special singles championship. There was strong opposition. ami it was considered hy some members the number should he at least 04. hut in the end the proposal was defeated and also the amendment to defer it for 12 months. The alternative suggested was to increase the days of play from 5 to G.
