The “Daily Telegraph” says: Mr MacDonald is expected to return to London this evening and he will begin immediately an investigation with the object of establishing the authenticity or otherwise of the Ziiiovielf letter, and also of clearing up the circumstances under which the Foreign Office Note was despatched.

The Labourites, Kirkwood. ltd. Morel and Scrymgcour. were elected. Ramsay Muir was defeated in a three-cornered light at Rochdale, in
which the Labourites gained, after a recount, a majority of 117. 'l’lie Labourite, Small, who just returned from Fast Africa was elected for Woolwich .Fast, defeating the Conservative.

The Marquis of Tavistock, heir to the Duke of Bedford, one of the. greatest ground landlords of London declares himself a supporter of the Labour Party. He told the “Daily Impress” : “The Tories were without vision. I have no faith in the Liberal leaders. Labour is the only Progressive party. I have the greatest admiration for'Mr MacDonald and believe he will solve the present troubles.” It is stated Tavistock is heir to ten millions.
