Search parties scoured the countryside all day yesterday and are searching again to-day. It is surmised the prisoners made in the direction of Toka Ann ami the parties are concentrating on that area. At flic Supremo Court the hearing was resumed of tlie flour milling case and evidence was called by the Crown. Peter Waldemnr Eiby. (manager of the Timaru Milling Co.) stated ins company was a party to the agreement with Distributors Limited. Prior to the Government control, the nulls’ output was . Q or 9 thousand tons annually. The capacity allotted the mill under the agreement was 6300 tons, very much less than the actual capacity distribution. The cost was increased as a iesult of connection with Distributors Ltd. before this the .Association ? then commission was 2\- per cent, aiut discount 21. Under the new arrangement the figures were 3J and -i P pr ' cent. A free market gave better flour I and advantage in price. If Distrum tors Ltd. were abolished, the southern 1 mills would have some difficulty m sell- ' ing flour at the same price as the northern mills.
