A telegram from Chicago slates that Albert Loeb f the father of the youthful murderer who has been brooding over his son’s fate, died at his residence there. Loeb’s health has been steadily declining and bis feelings have long been torn between grief for Ids own and compassion for the vistim’s family, that induced persistent melancholia from which he was unable to recover. MEDICAL COXOHESS. (Received this day at 9 a.m.) NEW YOHK, October 27. The Australian surgeons are departing at the week-end on a tour of many American Universities, medical schools, and clinics, including Harvard, the John Jlopkins, the .Mayo Clinic, the Hunter and Hoyal Divine. They continue to give demonstrations of their work, while the Xcw Zealanders continue their studies separately. The entire group is rejoining and sailing by the Alauuganui.
A DANGEROUS WOMAN. (“Sydney Sun” •Cables), (Received this day at 12.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, October 28. An official of the National Security League is asking the Government to prevent the entry of Countess Catherine Knrolyi, wife of the former President of Hungary, just, arrived for a series of lectures. The Security League says she is a Bolshevik and a menace to American institutions. Up to a late hour to-day the Countess had not conic ashore, while sixty policemen sent at the request of a State department patrolled the wharf. ’1 rouble is feared in view of the threatening letters she received. Hundreds of Hungarians attended the pier to greet her. Stunwood Menken (President ol the League) said she was known in Hungary as Red Catherine and was particaulnrly dangerous because of her charming personality, beauty and ability as an actress which may appeal to fashionable audiences. Menken declares she told the Italian police she was coming to America to establish Communistic groups.
