Ten thousand National Banner Leaguers inaugurating a Republican election campaign, invaded l’ot.sdam, so far regarded a.s sacred to the .Junkers, and marked in procession to the Central Square. They denounced the l’ot.sdam spirit and dedicated two hundred hauliers for use in the campaign to counteract Monarchism. Despite threats of violence, Monarchist opposition was limited to throwing stink bombs from balconies.
