The Anglican provincial Synod at Rockhampton on tlio motion of the Bishop of New Guinea adopted a resolution asking the Commonwealth authorities to rescind tho order that all Guinea missionaries leave tlio mandated territories hv Ist July, 1928. The belief is expressed that deportation of German missionaries who have not been guilty of disloyalty, would be highly detrimental to mission work. The mover said at the time of the deportation was decided upon, the missionaires feelings were a good deal stirred. Now after a lapse of years they are able to take a wilier and more Christian view. 'The motion meant not only the Anglican but all mission bodies in the mandated territory.
NEW ANGLICAN BISHOP. SYDNEY. Oct. 25. The Anglican Synod has decided in favour of the appointment of a co-ad-jotor Bishop of Sydney at a stipend of Cl .009 sterling, to assist the Archbishop. It was argued that the recent illness ol Archbishop Wiiglil was largely due to over work. The growth of the diocese necessitates such appoint incut.
