Alter r»rma! business and a discussion of Ministers’ answers to questions, the House went into Committee to further consider the Motor Vehicles Bill. The Minister announced that lie was unable to see his way to alter the schedule. The Hill was passed, after the Premefr had given his assurance that if the system of taxation provided in the schedule was not satisfactory, it would he revised next session. The Trustee Amendment Hill and the Land Transfer (compulsory registration of titles) Hill were put through their final stages and passed. The Native Trustee Amendment Hill was read a second time and referred to the Native Affairs Committee. The Poultry Hill was put through all stages and passed, while the Chattels Transfer Hill was read a second time in committee. The first clause was passed when progress was reported. The House rose at 12.17 till 2.30.
