A Ciiinwangtao messages states a fierce battle raged throughout yesterday on the Shanhaikwan front, Changtsolin’s forces making continuous attacks which were repulsed. Towards nightfall the latter retreated leaving a large number of killed anil wounded. The situation to-day is quiet.
