On the first day Sir 1.-indo Ferguson (New Zealand) will speak on tho work of tho University Hospital at Dunedin, and Doctor Elliott will speak on what the New Zealand Division of the British .Medical Association was doing towards improving hospital efficiency.

Dr. Boyle will deliver the “John Ti. Alurphy Oration.” his subject being "The Treatment of Silastic Paralysis. and Us Experimental Basis.” Dr Hunter will also speak on tho significance of this work. On the second day, Dr. Falconer, of New Zealand will speak on hospital administration in New Zealand Dr. Devine will speak on the basic princi|)lo.s and now operations in gastric surgery. Dr. Hindu Ferguson speaks on a subject under the section “Eye, ear, throat and nose.” Dr. Robertson, of New Zealand, speaks on “septicaemia anil intravenous injection.” During the Congress, Fellowships will be conferred on Drs. Bussell and AYorrall and Dr. L. Ferguson. PRINCE OF AY ALES. OTTAWA, Oct. 17. The Prince of Wale* danced at one of the most brilliant balls ever held in Bideati Hall, the residence of the Go-venier-General. Four hundred and fifty of Ottawa s younger set attended.
