At tlie third day of the Victorian Amateur Turf Club’s Spring Meeting yesterday there was an enormous attendance. The weather was fine. The Governor-General, the State Governor ; mil Mr G. D. Sail Antonio was fourth, AYynolle fifth, Tooknrby cixlli. Suomi seventh. Blackwood eighth. Graciilus ninth. Night Patrol tenth, and Wallarak eleventh. The Hawk came in second last while King Carnival was last. G. Young (N.Z) who rode Purser stated he had a good ride, though lie had tlie race won three furlongs from homo. The suggestion that Gloaming should parade on Cup Day is still widely discussed. Air Greenwood says it is an excellent suggestion and Mr Mason considers the idea a good one and has no objection. Mr MacKinnon, the Chairman of the V.R.C., says that if Gloaming’s connections favor it. it i.s certain tho committee will give every assistance. Gloaming looked well when walking to-day.
