LONDON, Aupust 2. \T;O. one of the Herman destroyers scuttled in Scapa Flow in dune 1010, was raised yesterday by wire ropes attached to halves of an ex-Herman iloatinp dock. This second attempt by Messrs Cox and Banks, Ltd., iron and steel merchants. to raise A’fiO was begun on Thursday night, when the wire ropes were placed in position, -tt tour o’clock yesterday moriiiiiK. when it was low tide, the work of lifting began and by mid-night it was possible for tugs to tow the destroyer within 2iX) yards of the shore in Mill Bay, Island of Hoy. At low tide last night it was intended to continue the work.
