BERLIN*, (October 11. ft is understood the British reply to the German memorandum of September 20t1i.. intimates that Britain will not object to Germany having a permanent scat on the League of Nations Council, hut makes it clear that her application for admission will only be granted if it is not accompanied by jmv conditions or reservations. Henco the British Government is unable to give any assurance relative to the other questions Germany has raised.

The Executive of the Lcageu of Nations Union has adopted a resolution urging the Government to convene a committee, iiwliuliug Dominions representatives, for the purpose of expediting the adoption of the Geneva Protocol.*
