The list for the Queensland loan mentioned on October 2nd. closed at 10.15 this morning. Definite reasons for the early rinsing of the subscription lists were not obtainable on inquiry at the Stock Exchange. Some are of the opinion that it was felly subscribed owing to its attractiveness, while others think the banks are finding indifferent so) port owing to the political situation and in view cf further borrowing by Queensland in the near future, have decided to close the lists.
