A meeting of tin l Hokitika Cycling and Athletic C'lnh was lielil in Keller’s Sample Rooms on Tuesday night when it was decided to run a few cycle races on the Square on a coming Saturday afternoon and in the meantime to approach the public with a view to obtaining donations towards trophies. In connection with the Guessing competition for Mr McGregor’s trophy the number of balls in the bottle was found to be 712, Mr F. Groufskv winning with a guess of 70G. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Miss Devanev aiid to Mr .T. Toohev for their assistance in making the competition a success. The meeting then terminated.
