ACCIDENTS.
COLLIDED WITH CART. CTIKIS'ItTII'HCiI, Oct. 0. Colliding with a coal-cart, on Saturday morning a thirteen-year-old hoy, 0. Gillespie, was thrown from his bicycle and received a severe cut on the loreiiead. He was treated at the outpatients’ department of the Ciuistclturch Hospital. STIiUCK BY TEAM.
Struck down by a train while he was riding a motor-cycle along Colombo St., on Saturday morning, Malcolm Eagle, a young man, had a narrow escape from serious injury, if not death. Plis machine was wrecked.

He was piovccding at a lair pace lowatds tile Square when a northbound tram travelling past him struck bis hniulo-b-.u s, with the result that his machine doubled up beneath him and he was thrown heavily to the loadway. BULLET IN I<’(JOT. A hoy named Reginald ,Stead, aged fifteen, whose parents reside at (-Taney's, was admitted to the hospital yesterday. It appears that he was out shooting in the Waimakariri riverbed and a small rilie* he was carrying went off accidentally and the bullet lodged in his left foot. His condition otherwise when admitted was quite all right. It is probable that the lad s foot will he X-rayed to-day. ATTACKED BY BOAR. While attending to pigs on lii.s farm at Saltwater Creek yesterday Mr Walter Eder was attacked by a hear, which inflicted severe injuries to one of his knees with its tusks, lie was taken to Rangiora and alter receiving attention from Dr.s King and Will was conveyed tic the Christchurch Hospital. A XA.RIfOAV ESCAPE. Through the skidding of the wheel of his cycle while crossing the tram rails, Mr C. Herd narrowJy escaped inju-y from being run over by the Clyde Road train leaving the Square on Saturday alternoan. He was thrown oli right in Pont of the tram just as it was leaving the Square, hut lii.s wheel skidded on the rail, and lie was thrown oil right in front of the oncoming car. The inotormau, Mr E. Thompson, observed tbe accident in time, and succeeding in bringing the tram to a stop in time.
