SHEERS KINS, HIDES AND TA! LOW SALE. WELLINGTON, October 3.
The fortnightly sale of shecopskins, hides and tallow were held to-day by the various' brokers.
A large catalogue was submitted to all classes to a fully representative attendance of buyers. The sheepskins market, again showed a slight improvement and under keen competition, prices being about a par to pi per lb better. Eine crossbreds and wellgrown parcels inipioveil Jd to Id. Sallies were about a par to (id better. Hides value all round can he quoted as being particularly linn at late prices with tlie exception of heavy-weight ox, which declined a J to til per lb. Kip and yearling sold on about par to ',d better, while calf were slightly easier. There was good competition for tallow, and prices, il anything, were better than the previous rates quoted.
