ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. FIRMER PRICES. (By Telegraph.—Special to Guardian,). CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs 11. Matson and Co., report as follows regarding their Stock sale at Addington yards yesterday:— Store Sheep.—A comparatively small yarding, mostly ewes and lambs.. The market was firmer all round. Very few wethers were yarded, ilest young owes with lambs at foot 20s .‘ld to 22 s 2d all counted; aged ditto 10s (id to 225; low conditioned and inferior Ids f’d to 18s (id; forward half-bred wethers .‘lts (id to :17s 7d ; host three-C|uart-er bred Imggeis Litis to H7s: mixed sex ditto 22. s lid ; slloi'n four and six tooth forward wethers 27s 7(1 to_2Bs. Store Cattle.—A small yarding, and as usual, mostly odd lots, no quotable lilies offering. Practically the whole yarding was taken for potting purposes at recent ruling prices. Fat Pigs.—A medium entry forward, hut the demand was not as good as last week, hut still prices were satisfactory. Light haconers CI Ills to L‘s os, heavy Co IPs to CH; average price 8d to !bl. Light porkers L’2 IDs to C2 I os, heavy Cl! to Cii lls; average Pd to !)!. Choppers, C.'l 10s to CO. Store Pigs.—A large entry was again forward which met with a keen demand and all lots sold at very satisfactory prices to vendors. Values were: won Hers 2iis to 22s ; small stores ;i2s to Ids; medium 45s to .7.15; large 55s to (ills; sows ill pig Cl lOs to C 5 17s lid.
Feet.—A smaller ynhling tliail last week. Only one small consignment of North Island cattle came forward, although one line of about !ld arrived 100 late for the sale, and were held over till next week. There was also a consignment (d* \\ est Coast cattle over, which sold well. Quality all-round was hardly up to recent averages, hut the sale throughout was a good one, :sl)s to Ids above last week. Prime Steers CIS to Cl!) os, extra to C2O los, medium Cl I to Cli Ills; others C'S to CRI Ids. Prime Heifers Cll to Cl l Ids, extra to CLI 10s; extra special lo CIS Ids, others L'7 los to CIO Ills; prime cows CIO Ids to Cl:t 10s; extra to CP! 7s lid; medium CS lo CIO os; others down to .Co. Mutton.—The yarding was slightly larger than last week and quality hardly as good as lately. Two or three lines of outside sheep were yarded. The market opened rather slackly but quickly improved and continued firm till tbe end showing an average rise ot Is (id to ‘2s above last week. There were more wes than usual, also several pens of shorn sheep which sold in our oiiinioii better in comparison than woollies. Prime Vet hers, 51s to oils, extra to 71s lid; medium Ids (id t<> .71s (id : lighter 12s to Ids; others down to ilPs ild.
