Adatchi’s amendment to Article o of the arl.it rat ii.a protocol follows without prejudice to the Council’s dutv in endeavouring to conciliate the parties so as to assure to maintenance of peace and good understanding between Nationals. Adatehi said it was in a (oveiiant and it was their duty lo lill il up. IK- hoped therefore the Committee would agree to his amendment which was the result of long careful ri-lleel ion. Finally Adatehi withdrew the amendment under express reservations on the whole pro-to,-id. The point is noL vet completely cleared up. Adatehi has -not yet made up his mind. Inn probably will give way.
