In respect to the selection of a new site fur the Public Pound upon its removal from Sale Street. I beg to report as lollows: It appears the previous Council selected a site e*i ALII. 173 at the corner of Spencer and Revell Streets mirth, adjacent in the beach. In addition I suggest the following siti-s for consideration I Unused nortioii of llollman Street, ai the junction with Weld Street east. Unused portion of llajjjjgr Street, approached from Racecourse road. North West corner of Recreation ground, at the junction of Staflord and Livingstone Streets. Of the foregoing, I recommend the lasi mentioned as being the most suitable in all the circumstances, and suggest that the Overseer, proceed with ilu- erect ii-i of the Round on the new site forthwith, and meantime legal steps he taken to notify publicly the location ol the Pound.
