STRANDED AT .JACKSON IIAV. Advice was received In-t night by the Postmaster at Hokitika that the auxiliary ketch Elsie was .stranded about leu chains north-east of the landing at Jackson's Bay at 12.0il p.m. on Tuesday. 10th. inst. All the passetigers and crew are safe and it is cxnected the vessel will limit olf oil the next spring tides. The Elsie left Hokitika at noon on Monday, bound for Okurtl and Bruce Bay, and shortly after a heavy imrtherlv sprang tip and it i.s surmised that the little vessel ran before the northerly and went on to Jackson's, Bay for shelter. The vessel had a full general cargo for Okuru and Bruce Bay.
