ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. DRV 3YEATIIHI! EFFECT'S. (By Telegraph Special to Guardian.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs 11. Matson and C'o., report as follows regarding their stock sale at Addington yards yesterday:— Store Sheep. A .small yarding and the entry was very mixed and comprised several lots of ewes and lambs. Considering the continued spell of dry weather, the sale must be considered an exceptionally good one. There were not so many wethers yarded. Store Cattle.- Another large yarding and although the. iisi::i.| ipinta of odd lots and old cows were yarded, there we:e several nice pens of well bred steers, which met with very little competition and were unsold at a net ion. In fact, with the exception of potters and odd lets, there was practically no demand whatever for store cattle, and considering the continued spell of dry weather this can hardly be wondered at. Cows and potters sold at about recent latcs. Rest cows made to C 3 ns. medium Cl 10s to £2 1.35. others dow n to 10s, bulls Ins to C 3. Fat Rigs,-There was a medium , ntiy of porkers and liaconers which sold firmly at the best of last week's rat?s. bight porkers made £2 10s to f'.'t. heavy porkers £3 us to £1 3s fid. averag..* price per lb fl'd to Hb'd. A shower of 12-hours rain would he a material advantage though at the same time we have no hesitation in saying that prices may probably he knocked I a-k from their present basis. While the sal? was a shade irregular and some buyers piloted a shade easier, we only considered it uncertain as many of the consignments, as regards breeding and condition. le‘l a kit tu le rire.i.
