Captain Patrick, late of Patrick Steamships, Ltd., intends to embark on another shipping venture in the Inter-State trade if he gains the support of the merchants. In the event of this service being instituted Captain Patrick states that he intends to reduce the present freight rate, hy ten per cent. He contends I lint business tit those rates will lie payable if the ships are hv any mean, well loaded. The success of the' venture depends on the result of a meeting of shippers this afternoon.
