At Rugby, AYangantti defeated Auckland hy ten points to eight, after a scrambling forward game, marked by a dramatic ending. Auckland maintained the load until just on the call of time, when, in the midst of nit attack' hy Wanganui, AlcAulifi'e potted a goal, which gave the home team victory.

Society a further 5 years lease of Tahuna Park. Roth bodies had waited on the Society. the League urging that, the lease he put up to public auction. Tin* Society, however, felt it was under a moral obligation to give the Union a renewal.
