Arising out of the theft of electrical equipment from Turnbull and Jones’s warehouse in April, for which a man recently was .sentenced to two year’s hard labour, an electrician named Walter AlcC'arthy today was committed for trial on chorees of having 01,. stunted the course of justice and
having stolen yoods from Turnbull and Jones valued at £3O 7s. A constable ynve evidence that when he spoke to the accused coueeruiny the arrest of the mao already sentenced, accused denied ever liaviny heard of the latter or two previous witnesses. Evidence was yiven hy the detective that accused admitted that the. other man had sold the yoods to him and property valued at £2l 2s 2d was recovered from accused’s shop. Accused pleaded not yuilty.
