WEDDING BELLS

Si. Alary’s Church, Rimu, was tlte scene of a very pretty wedding to-day when Air .Mat Aloynihait of Kokntahi, was united to .Miss G. O'Neil of Ttimu (late Secretary Kokatahi Dairy Factory). The bride who entered the Church on tlte arm of her brother, Air T. O’Neil, looked extremely pretty attired in white mottsehiin trimmed with radium lace, with veil clasped with Ac. m tian band. Aliss .1. Knowles, niece of the bride, was bridesmaid and was tastefully dressed in shrimp satin trimmen with .silver lace, with Juliet cap and shoes and .stockings to match. The Nuptial A lass was celebrated hv the Rev. Father Riordan. and the Church was beautifully decorated by the bride * many friends. The duties of best man were carried out hy Air Jack O'Connor as-isted by Afr Harry Jones.

After the cetemonv the happy couple entertained their friends at Stow’s Tea Rooms, Hokitika, where a sumptuous repast was partaken of. The table* were tastefully decorated with spring (lowers, while the room was regaled with coloured streamer* and electric lights. The blinds drawn gave the scene a cosy and joyous appearance. The usual taosts were proposed ami duly honoured, and the happy couple left by car for Nelson where the honeymoon is to be spent. The bridegroom's present to the bride was an expanding bracelet and wristlet watch, and to the bridesmaid a Nellie Stewart bangle. The bride’s present to the bridegroom was a handsome travelling rug. The list of presents from the many friend* was very extensive. 'l'he wedding cake, which was tastefully decorated and made by Air A. Spence, was a present from the bridegroom's brother. The bride's travelling dress was a lawn frock knitted costume, with lull mid shoes io match.
