A message trout Baltimore states tho important discovery that glycerine may supplement insulin, and in some eases be substituted lor it in the treatment of advanced cases of diabetes, was made by John Hopkins, a hospital physician who discovered it. It was officially announced that it was the result ol experiments anil some ehauce when it was discovered. Ibe patient who was being provided with insulin for daily injections was neglecting ills treatment and the patient was found temperamentally unfit to administer the injections ol insulin, but made no objection when given glycerine as his daily diet, in balanced doses. The patient, who was about to die from the neglect ol insulin, made a prompt recovery alter taking the glycerine and is now back at work on half time.
