THE COUNT 11.. WELLINGTON. Aug. 13. The Legislative Conn, il met at 2.30 p. in. A petition was presented on behalt of tile National Council of Women in support of the Justices of the Peace Amendment Bill. The Trustees Amendment Bill was reported with amendments, and the .Justices of the Peace Amendment Bill, and Bills of Exchange Amendment Bill were reported without amendment. Sir Francis Bell gave notice to introduce the Rights of Fishing Bill. The Council adjourned at 3.10 p.m. until 2.30 p.m. THE HOUSE. The House mot at 2.3(1 p.m. The House spent the afternoon silting transacting formal business, and discussing departmental reports. At the evening session, the Hon. D. Stewart, as a private member, moved the second reading of the Juries Amendment Bill, which, after debate, was rejected by 33 to 20. The House rose ill 11.20 p.m.
