President Cosgrave in proposing tho adjournment of the debate said the House would be summoned earlier than the first of October, if neces-
sary. The Nationalist, Mi; Scan Milro\, objected to the Executive measures t<. get. the Treaty enforced. He urged that with the present Bill bciorc the British House <>f Commons, they had to consider the possibility of a general election. Ireland might become the sluittlecoek of British politicians. President Cosgrove, replying to the question, said he did not intend to proceed with the Bill until it had passed the British House of Commons. The Bill was read a first time by GO votes to 10.

President Cosgrove, in the Dail Lireann, replying to Sir James Craigs statement cabled on August 10th. said :
I have mot Sir James Craig frequently. lie has always retained the same attitude. In his own words, he “will not budge an inch:” He has never made any practical contribution towards a solution. 11 his attitude iomains unchanged, then I can imagine no .useful purpose that will he set bv meeting him again. It be appoints his Boundary Commissioner. I am willing to do everything in my power to ''assist in tho determination of the boundary in a manner tliat sliull be lair ami reasonable to all concerned. Wo have never staked our claim to ibis piece of territory or that: hut we have adhered to the principle that the wishes of the inhabitants shall prevail.
