LATE LOCALS.

A meeting of Kiwi Juniors lakes place at the Kiwi Shed to-night at . o’clock. All Juniors must attend.

La* evening Si. Mary's Club eiu-liie and dame "as again very largely attended, some 2-j tables being engaged in cauls. The respective winners were Dailies—-Ist, Miss K. Foster, 2nd. Miss F. Murphy. Gents —Ist. Mr H. Alcaic, 2nd., Air J. Johnston. After supper dancing was indulged in until midnight the music being supplied by Aliss Al. G iese (.in the unavoidable absence of Air La"U), and Mr C. Gibbons. Air J. McMahon had charge of the flooi.

A very successful meeting of ladies was held last evening in the Hospital Hoard Rooms to make preliminary arrangements for the Hospital Ball and Juvenile Dance to he held on August 27th .and 28th. Mrs J. J. Breeze occupied the chair. It was decided to cmvass the town during the next few weeks for donations and for eontrihutions for supper, the following ladies undertaking to carry out this work : Ales'Llmes Breeze and Morgan. Cr piliart and Pilkiugton, Rowe and Davidson. Mrs and Aliss Blank. Alesdnmes I). Stevenson and Simpson. Ticino and M. Houston, and Misses A 100 re and llalliday. Miss Al. ITalli<!ay was appointed assistant Secretary.
