At ilic Dominion conference of tlio Farmers’ Union to-day, an address <m the activities of the dairy division of the Department of Agriculture was delivered hy Mr W. M. Singleton, director of the division.
It wait agreed that the. Govqrimioiit should he urged to establish a dairy school and laboratory with a view to carrying on research work and the tuition of dairy factory managers and assistants in emmsv. tion therewith. It was also resolved: -‘That the (Government be urged to have brought into force the regulations which have been dra‘.ted and approved under the Dairy Industry Amendment Act with a view to arriving at a uniform method of reading the Babcock test."
