Dancing was imitilgeil in from !i p.m. nil 2 a.m. to the strains ut lJnnvtu’s jazz hand, winch supplied the best 01 the latest nines. It was voted by all present tn be one of the most success! til tmictioiis held in Boss for many years. A very dainty supper was provided during the evening ny the lames’ tuiiimiU.cc, beaded by the .Mayoress. ’The Boss Band kindly lent their efforts in the early par of me evening, whieit were very much appreciated. This function being so successful lias lent sullicicnt encouragement to hold another one in the near future. The surrounding disiricts were well represented among the visitors being the following:—Mrs Beg. M**ore, Miss bowler (2). Airs McPherson. Mrs lb llagar. Miss O'Connor. Miss Johnstone. Miss Nellie Coyle. Mrs C o\lc. Mrs T. Blown. Air Jamieson, Mr T. Brown. Mr Graham (2). Mr J. Wright, Air Keogan. Mr Chapman. Mr 1.. Dtvan. Mrs Dougins. Mr box. Alt Douglas (.21, Mr Allen (2). Mi-s Manera |2). Mrs Anderson. Mr Anderson (2). Mrs Knowles, Miss Cooper Air F. Liirwig and many others 100 numerous to mention. Ihe p* i/.e winners were Miss I’osie .Mitchell, tepresentmg a washer woman, the gent’s going to .Mr B. Wilson, a sun-downer Alativ other costumes were quaint and original. The hall was suitably_ decorated in truly hard-up fashion. Jhe lollowing evening a juvenile dance was held and about 811 children accompanied liv their parents appeared to thoroughly enjoy themselves, liny good cost nines being ill evidence. The music was supplied by Miss Parker. Miss Kraus. Mrs Kenning and Air 1). .M.cNicol. Supper was again provided. The prize winners were. Miss Gardiner Ist. Miss lb veldt 2nd. and .Master llillver Ist. I) 111 -1 ■al■ .a i 1 2. A special prize was awarded Master liedwig. Dancing was carried on till mid-night.
