NEW YORK. July 24. The Carpentier-Tunney match will commence at the polo grounds at nine on Thursday night. Both tip the scales at under one hundred and se-venty-five pounds. Tuntiey exceeds Carpentior in height ami reach, but their physical measurements are virtually the same. Tunnoy is a stiff left handed puncher. Tunney's American light-heavy-weight championship is at stake. Desohamps (Csirpcntier’s manager), is confident that Ttmney will not last more than Jive rounds while Tunney's manager is confident that Carpentior will go down ill the sixth round.
