Thu Legislative Council met at 2.30 p.m., Put only formal business was transacted and the Council adjourned at 2.3!) p.m. until 2.30 to-morrow as a mark of respect to the memory of the late Sir Waller Buchanan. The Justices of the fence Amendment Bill was introduced from the House of Representatives and read a first time.
HOUSE OF REPI!ESF.NTATIYES The House met at 2.30 p.m.
The House of Representatives trails acted no business at the afternoon sitting, but immediately adjourned owing to the absence ol the Premier ami the Cabinet at Sir AY. Buchanan’s funeral.
At the evening .sitting the Premier moved the customary resolution recording the high sense of the services rendered to the Dominion hy Sir Walter Bui lian.in. "ho was a member of the Legislative Council and a former member of the House of Representatives. The motion was seconded by Air T. Al. Wilford and was suppoilod by Air. Holland. Him. MacLeod. Sir G. Hunter. Hon. Air Parr, Messrs Sykes and Field and the Hon. Nesworthy. The motion was agreed to, and the House adjourned as a mark of respect to the memory of the deceased.
