This (Saturday) evening .Mel, can’s Pictures present a very attractive programme* headed hv a stirring roinai.co “(iyps,v Passim.” or “Miarka ’ (the Child of the Hear). It is written by Jean Kiehepiu who also takes the part of the squire. Full of thrilling incidents and episodes the production is one that will give great pleasure tu patrons and can he well recommended as an attractive, interesting picture. The story shows .Miarka, a young girl, according lo her gypsy grandmother. Romany Kate, is to marry the chief of all the gypsies. The heroine, the old woman, and the former’s tame bear livo upon the estate of an elderly man who is kindly disposed toward Romany Kate because of his interest in gypsies. A gardener in love with the girl robs the master and plots successfully in making Kate appear as the guilty one. She is convicted but the hear jumps to the rescue and kills the gardener and ho confesses his crime. The old lady disoevering that .Miarka is in love with the master’s nephew takes her away, hut is shown that lie is really the king of all the gypsies. I lie supports include a comedy, gazette, and the final episode of the serial “'I ho Timber Queen.”
