MINING ACCIDENT AT BACK CREEK.
At 2.15 o’clock this afternoon a niin. i,m accident happened at Back Creek, when Mr Arthur Clifton, a well-known resident, and former County Cb.iunian was- washed through the tail-race of his sluicing claim at Back Creek Mr Clifton was considerably Knocked about. Medical attendance was immediatelv summoned, hut at present, the extent of his injuries are not definitely known though they are stated to he of a serious nature.
