AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CARLE ASSOCIATION CRITICAL SITUATION'. LONDON', July 0. The “Dilily Tlernltl’s” Paris correspondent emphasises the importance of the MaeDonnld-llerriot conversations. He says:—“The life of the llerriot Governnient is at, stake, and also the whole future of the Anglo-French relations. MP. MACDONALD IN PARIS. PARIS, duly H. Mr MacDonald had a most cordial reception on arrival. The .station was I densely crowded and the route to the British Embassy was lined with sj>eetators cheering and xhnutiug: “flood old Ramsay! Vivo MacDonald!" The Premiers of Britain and France I conferred for three hours. After the conference Air MacDonald I informed interviewers: “We are right! in the middle of things.”
