A lad named Trevor Sotheran, son of Mr and Mrs T. Sothcran, Cobden, sustained a broken leg yesterday at the Cobden School.

The death occurred at Reefton on Saturday morning, of Mrs Annie Flannigan, widow of the late Mr Frank Flaiinigan, a former mine manager ot Progress Mine. She had been in lading health for some time past. The late Mrs Flaiinigan is survived by one son, Mr Tom Flaiinigan, of Big River. The deceased was a native of County Cork, Ireland, and 58 years of age.
