From the opening scenes in which tlie beautiful young Kitty Bristol, the role portrayed Ky Miss Allison, rebels against the trammels of convent life* and steals away front their coniines til night to seek adventure in the city of London, the adventure leads her at length to matrimony with William Ashe, a member of the British Parliament. Once married to Ashe. Kitiy’s troubles begin for out of her excessively spirited temperament springs untold misiortune for both Ashe and herself, which finds expression in the writing of a hook hy Lady Kitty that discloses some of the secrets ol the British Ministry and through the connivance of C'iiffe, a member of the Opposition who exerts a sinister influence over I,ally Kit/tv. grave trouble threatened Ashe, who i- Minister for Home Affairs in the British Cabinet. It is when Ashe discovers his wife at the lodgings of C'lifi'e that the storm ol their conflict breaks upon their heads, only to he calmed by the return ol Kitty to the convent and her pursuit there by Ashe, who loves her deeply in spite of her indiscretions. The supporting company includes Wyndham Sanding, who does excellently ns the husband of Lady Kitty, Zeliie Tillbury. Frank Kiliott, Robert Boulder. Lydia Yeamans Titus and C'lari-sa Selwvn. A Patho Hazel to and an attractive comedy with lull orelcstra, complete a fine programme.
