The creditors in the bankrupt estate '“’of Alfred Eaton Mailman, grocer. Island Bay, decided that he should he submitted to public examination. The solicitor for one creditor stated that the bankrupt had started with a capital of £55, hut in six months this and £7OO more had been “sunk" and no trace could lie found of it. The solicitor for the bankrupt said the latter’s trouble was that he was an incurable optimist.
