LATE LOCALS.
Tin* death took place yesterday at Komar:!, ol Airs Campbell an old and esteemed resident ot that district at the age of (12 years. Her husband predeceased her many years ago. She leaves a family of live daughters (Alls Caldwell of Sale Street, Airs Smith of Sydney, Mrs ,1. Reedy of Kumara, and Aliases Vera anil Eveline Campbell), aml one son (Norman of AA'ellingtoii.
The funeral of the late AYilliam S. ALKailyoii took place this afternoon and was followed by the largest assemblage of mourners that has gathered tor visits. I Ih* oortoji** "«'is *i leugthv one. I'rieinls coining from all pans of the district, while the sawmilling industry was very largely represented. The Rev A. C. I’urehas conducted the services at All Saints’ Church and the graveside, on which manv wreaths and lioral tributes were paired in sorrow at the death ot such a popular resident, under the specially sail circumstances.
