COOKING WITH GAS.
The coal range is passing these days, for the reason that, it is being superseded by the modern gas cooker. With tlie coal range there is constant coalcarrying and tire replenishing to be reckoned with, which means waste of time and energy. Cooking, of course, is an anxious a flair demanding individual attention, because coal burns irregularly and its heat cannot be deluded upon; and all the time soot and smoke and dust arc being deposited everywhere to create fresh work. By doing away with the coal range the most unpleasant part of kitchen drudgery is abolished instantly.

Every housewife should plan her kitchen and scullery to minimise labor, and invite cleanliness of appearance. The introduction of gas cookers in the homes all contribute to that end.
