The Most \\’or. Rro. Will in in Thompson, who had been Grand Master for ten years, did not seek re-election and the principal interest centred in the appointment, of his successor. Wor. Ilro. Goulston had occupied the position of Deputy Grand Master for New South Wales for six year-, and last year visited New Zealand at the head of a Masonic delegation. The recipient of the high honor in the craft was a Hokitika hoy and a pupil of the local State School. His lather was here in business lor many years as a diaper in premises adjoining the Southland Hotel, Rcvell Street.
