A telegram from San Jose, in California says that an earthquake, approximately of the same violence as the ievent Japanese one. centred probably in Central America, continuing for over an hour and a half, lias been registered at Santa Clara University. It started at six to-night. SYDXKY RECORD. SYDNEY. June 2C. St. Ignatius’ Rivet-view Observatory reports that a most severe earth quake lias been refolded, probably in the viiintiy of I’ort Morosbv.
