A cablegram lias been received by the Govoriimcat from the High Coinniissioner (.Sir James Allen) with reference to the exhibits in the Xew /calami section of the Rritis'i K.iniore exhibition. The High Commissioner states that the refrigerator section should have hceit ready in time hut for the failure of the exhibition authorities to supply elect lie power. 'I lie restaurant was ready for the opening. Ihe failure with regaru to secondary industries was due to eases lor exhibits not being ready and .also, in the opinion of the manager, to a delay in tin* eoinpletmu id' the building. The present position, states the High Commissioner, is that in the relrigetalor section tlio display of meat, hatter and cheese is excellent. comparing more than favourably with the t anmiian and Australian sections. I hi' display of apples is good. ’I he fish only recently arrived, and raw woo! is good. •Jlic secondary industries exhibits are poor, and with the exception possibly of woollens the display is unworthy of Xo\v Zealand. The exhibits of seeds. Imuri gum and minerals are very disappointing- _
