The Secretary of the Australian Railways Unions’ Federation has lodged an application with tlie Registrar of the ('ommiinweattli A i hitratii-.n Court for a compulsory conleieiice with the Railway Commissioners of New South Wales, Victoria, anil South Australia. on the question of wages aiul conditions. The claim is one of the most important ever lodged, as over 23,(100 employees are involved. CITY OF ADELAIDE ARRIVES. HOBART. June 23.
The steamer, City of Adelaide lias arrived short of coal, having used all her 'iipl'lies battling against tlie storm. No damage is reported.
