The difficulties of Air Herbert Cummins in Mexico City were duo to his officials efforts to prevent the confiscation of property belonging to Airs Rosalie Evans, a British subject, according to a statement by Mrs Pettus. sister of Mrs Evans. Mrs Pottos says that Air Cummins’ protest against Afrs Evans’ treatment brought him into disfavour. Afy sister has been supporting herself from her ranch, despite constant ban nssinoiit by the -Mexican Government.” Even letters to Airs Evans were stop. ]khl and once her ranch was surrounded by members of an Agrarian party who were stealing land on the orders from the Government. Air Cummins protested vigorously against such treatment.
Air I’ettus said that her sister would stay on the ranch until she was given undisputed possession, even at the risk of losing her life.
