An accident, which was not without its humourous aspects to the onlookers, occurred at Auckland, as the cargo steamer was berthing at tin* Xoitlieote vehicular landing. During an exceptionally heavy downpour, a young mail attempted to pass an empty peiamhiiiator Iroin the vessel to a male companion on the wliarl. He overbalanced, however, and, with his burden. fell over the side of the Sparrowhawk into tlm harbour. The man si ruck out and twain to the wliarl. and Was little the worse for his immersion. The perambulator was not recovered.
