A new trial was ordered for next session. GRASS FILLS CASK. CTIRISTCHFRCH. June 13. During the heating of a grass fire ease this morning. Counsel for the defendant made n strong protest against the publication of a headline in the "Sun" newspaper to the effect that large areas had been devastated. Ihe ease for the defence is that the hind has been improved as the result of the tire. Counsel said he was considering whether the Editor should be brought to Colli t for contempt. The Judge said it was most improper for anyone to come to anv conclusion before a ease had reached finality.
